On April 7, Fiorentina locked horns with Juventus at the ArtemioFranchi Stadium as both clubs were competing in order to get into the finals of the Coppa Italia and it was Juventus which came out on top as they claimed a 3-0 victory which finalized in an aggregate scoreboard of 4-2 which was more than enough for the team of MassimilianoAllegri to book their spot in the finals of the Italian competition.

The side of Vincenzo Montella is undergoing a stable and promising season but according to the 40 year old Italian manager, Montella believes that the defeat they suffered against Juventus will have a big effect on his players and the manager is starting to get concerned.
“We have to find an explanation, but it’s not a physical issue. It’s probably a psychological one, because probably the midweek defeat really hit our confidence hard. We didn’t expect to lose so heavily to Juventus and that also is a concern. What does worry me is their mental state, as over the last five or six days I’ve seen a different team.I don’t like this team and it’s up to me to give them a different motivation and spur them on to change tack.”Fiorentina’s Vincenzo Montella told the media.
It does look like the team of Vincenzo Montella has taken a psychological hit after their loss against Juventus as they sustained another defeat only 5 days later when facing off with Napoli in Serie A with a scoreboard that displayed 3-0 and Fiorentina was not able to launch a single shot on target in this match.
